Julio César Gutiérrez - President

He is the founding member and president of BGS Group. Dr. Gutierrez has 20 years of experience as a leader in cable television industry. During his career he has participated as shareholder and director of several cable television companies. He has been Director of the National Association of Cable Television and of the Provincial Association of Cable Television. In 1998, he was appointed Director of the CEI (Cetricorp Entity Investments). He was founding member of Mandeville Corporation and since the middle of 1999 he has been Director and President of Cablevision Corporation, leader in cable television companies in Argentina with more than 3 million subscribers. From April 2000 to December 2001 he worked as Director General of Cablevision. From 1996 to 2002 he was president of BGS Group and Management Affiliate of HMT&F (Hichs, Muse, Tate & Furst) for Latin America. He developed different investment in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Uruguay, Chile and Ecuador in the media, entertainment, cable television, outdoor advertising, internet and IP telephony. During that time, he was also member of the directory of several companies in the countries already mentioned. Since 1981 up to date, he has developed agrifood companies through the exploitation of 12,000 of his own hectares, located in the Humid Pampas, the richest in Argentina regarding agricultural terms. Since 2009 up to now he owns 400 hectares in Cañuelas, Province of Buenos Aires, 50 Km. outside Capital Federal. In this stretch of land, a gated community is being developed. It has two polo fields, 33 has of lakes and a golf course with 18 holes. Dr Gutierrez is advisor and consultant in Argentina and other countries in Latin America regarding alternative energy sources and urban waste treatment.

Dr Gutierrez is a graduated lawyer of the University of Belgrano.

César Baez - CEO and Director

Cesar Baez has been our Chief Executive Officer since December 16, 2011 and has been a member of our board of directors since inception. Mr. Baez has over twenty-seven years experience with numerous senior executive positions in private equity, asset management, media and investment banking, which involved sourcing and investing in deals, overseeing investments, managing daily operations and offering financial, operating, marketing and corporate structuring advice. From 2005 to date, Mr. Baez was the founder and managing partner of Centinela Capital Partners, an alternative asset management firm that serves select, institutional investors.

From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Baez was the Head of Strategy, Institutional Business Development and Private Equity at Deutsche Bank Alternative Investments, a division of Deutsche Bank Asset Management, where he was responsible for developing product and distribution strategy. Mr. Baez was the head of Alternative Investments for the State of New Jersey Investment Division from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Baez was the founder and a partner of Momentum Media Capital, a private equity firm specializing in media investments, from 2001 to 2003. Mr. Baez was also a partner and principal of Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst from 1995 to 2001 and the President and CEO of CEI Media Holdings, a media company and a Hicks Muse portfolio company, from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Baez currently serves on the board of Lenox Incorporated. Mr. Baez received a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration from Wagner College, New York, NY.

Rolando Horman - CEO

Rolando Horman is the CEO of BSG Group. From the year 2000 until 2002 he was CEO of Fibertel, the most important internet supplier company in Argentina. From 1998 to 2000, he was Vice president of BSG Group, in charge of varied development projects, as Mandeville LLA, Intercable Venezuela, IOA (outdoor advertising), TV Cidade of Brazil, Teledigital, etc.

All of these projects reached a total investment of more than USD 800 million. Before BSG Group, Mr. Rolando Horman was chief executive officer of OCA, the most important private mail company in Argentina. From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Horman was consultant and director of the following companies: Cacharel, Christian Dior, Musimundo, Sanyo and Stani (currently Cadbury). From 1975 to 1985 he was Audit Manager of Avon Argentina.

Mr. Horman is certified public accountant and he obtained mastery in Social Psychology of the Organizations.

Mariana Gutiérrez - Vice president and CFO

Mariana Gutiérrez - Vice President and CFO

Since 2002 she has been Vice president of Administration and Finances of Estancias y Cabañas Fortin Quieto, company of the BSG Group, owner of more than 12,000 agricultural and livestock hectares and 8,500 head of cattle Aberdeen Angus. These assets represent more than 100 million dollars in current values.

She is responsible for the making and execution of a business plan for the acquisition and consolidation of cable TV companies in Latin America, with an estimated investment of USD 2500 million.

Mariana is also CEO of BSG Iberica, a company of BSG Group, located in Spain, dedicated to investments in tourism and gastronomy. She was responsible for its creation, organization and management and of its later sale.

In 2006, and for a year, she was Senior Analyst in Centinela Capital Partners, a Group of Private Equity leader in the USA.

Mariana is Bachelor of Business Administration from the University Torcuato Di Tella.

Julián Díaz Bortolotti

He is our Executive Vice President since the beginning of the operations. Since the year 2007 he has been external consultant of the Directory of Fortin Quieto Corporation in the marketing area, an Argentinian company owner of 12,000 hectares in the Humid Pampas. In June 2011 he founded DeGanados, an on-line site dedicated to the buying and selling of livestock. Since 1998, Julian has been working in Argentores, a civil association whose aim is the legal protection of copyright for radio, movie, television and theater productions. Since 2005 up to now, he is in charge of the HR area of Argentores. In 2009, Julian Bortolotti graduated as a Bachelor of Labor Relations in the University of Buenos Aires, School of Social Sciences.

Federico Bertoldo - Vice President

Federico Bertoldo - Vice President

  • • Since 2005, he has been the legal counsel of BSG Group, where he had to take part in different areas and projects as the ones of development of gated communities, urban waste treatment and agricultural livestock business.
  • • Since 2009 he has been working in Citibank as New Deals Officer, focused in the production of new business opportunities. In this task, his clients are companies whose annual sales are between USD2,000,000 to USD250,000,000.
  • • During 2008 he settled in England in order to develop tasks in Ultimate Group Corporation, developing a sports project, creating a motoring group for Formula 1.

Federico has been a graduated lawyer from the University Argentina John F. Kennedy since 1998.

Leonardo Fracasi

Leonardo Fracassi

Leonardo has been our legal adviser since 1999. Among his tasks he is in charge of counselling of legal matters in general, especially in civil, commercial, labor and administration cases, counselling to the different companies in the drawing, business and analysis of contracts, especially employment contracts, rental agreements, lease contracts, contracts for the provision of services, agreement on transfer of shares, etc. At the same time, he is in charge of the management of corporate matters (constitution of corporations, minutes of a meeting, minutes of the board director’s meeting, inscription before the General Inspection of Justice or the Bureau of Legal Entities).

From 2000 to 2003 he was Department Head in the Legal Management of Cablevision Corporation, developing the following tasks: carrying out of the contract programming and their negotiation; management of the legal matters concerning the Federal Committee of Broadcasting and National Committee of Communication of the four regional of the company; participation in the study of bills for the new Broadcasting law.

From 1999 to 2000, Leonardo was Head of the Legal Department of Teledigital Cable Corporation, developing tasks related to all the legal area of cable television companies. He is a lawyer, graduated from the University of La Plata.

Alberto Artaza

Alberto is our Institutional Relations Manager. He has an experience of more than 35 years in the Trading area of the agricultural sector. He is a reference model of that area, representing one of our corporations in the Argentinian Association of Aberdeen Angus.
